Book Week - Reception 1 2009

Tuesday, March 10, 2009

Adults read bedtime stories to the children and we marched in the Book Parade!

This was the day we dressed up in pyjamas and enjoyed listening to our families reading their favourite bedtime stories.

Then we marched in a parade to the music of Mr Tim playing....'Bananas in Pyjamas!' We got a chance to enjoy watching all the other children in the Primary School as they marched too, dressed as book characters. It was wonderful!

Classroom Displays

We love our mummies and daddies as wide as our arm spans!

We are learning to be authors and illustrators this week!

We then wrote cards for our parents to show them how much we love them.

Guess How Much I Love You?

We are really enjoying bookweek! Ms Imke and Ms Marissa worked hard so we could all have our own books to enjoy at home.

"I Love You - as wide as my arms can stretch," we all cried!

Here we are stringing up our arm spans with hearts on each end.

Mr Dominic organised a book trail for us. It was fun finding the characters that matched the book covers from stories we enjoyed this year. Thanks Mr Dominic!

We wrote and drew why we love reading books.......
